About
Greetings! As a third-year Animation Design student at GLS Institute of Design. Along with my strength in 2d animation and mix media, I can act - ready to be your go-to reference! My passion lies in storytelling, and I enjoy exploring narratives through any medium possible. I'm all about experimenting, being curious, and working hard to make magic happen. Nature's beauty and my dreams serve as primary source of inspiration for me, particularly when I gaze at the sky filled with stars. It never fails to ignite my imagination and spur new ideas for my work.

This film stands out out from my past productions since it features live action, a blend of 2D animation, and a final magical touch of editing. The narrative tells the tale of a girl who, after discovering a book about a man she can't stop thinking about, finds herself utterly engrossed in his fantasy. Though everything in her world is black and white, only she now possesses color.

Vatsalya Studio Ad Film - Cut out animation
Design Project
A cutout animation ad short I created for a private photography studio. I challenged myself to take a different approach to animation using stop motion. The film's concept centered on the necessity of collecting memories through photography. As a result, I decided that stop motion would be the perfect medium for it. I started out by hand painting the background for the watercolor feel. I created the character cut outs digitally in Photoshop. Then I printed them out in high quality. In addition, I made wire joints. Finally, I used the free stop motion programmed to create the stop motion film. Then, for the last touch, I color graded the images in Lightroom.

Cut out and make it move!
Here, I'm displaying my three characters—Banu, Banu's spouse, and the photographer—by separating off the rigged portions of each character to ensure motion
And then matched my manually painted backdrops.

Script
10 EXT. / HIDDEN SPOT BEHIND A TREE / NIGHT
Bell hides behind a sturdy tree, her heart pounding with anticipation. After a tense wait, the truck she's been waiting for appears.
11 INT. / DIMLY LIT TRUCK BED / NIGHT
Inside the cramped truck, pigs huddle together, their nervous grunts and uneasy shuffling filling the air. Their eyes reflect fear like they know where they are being taken to, the close quarters making there distress noticeable.
12 EXT. / DARK COUNTRY ROAD / NIGHT
As the truck continues down the road, it suddenly lurches and comes to an abrupt stop. Bell can't help but smile; her plan is unfolding as she'd hoped. The driver steps out, puzzled, to investigate the problem.
Bell seizes the opportunity and approaches the back gate of the truck with utmost caution. Silently, she manages to open the gate. But as the gate swings open, the pigs inside grow agitated, rushing toward their newfound freedom. The pigs spill out scattering in all directions, oinks and squeals fills the air. The two drivers, their faces etched with alarm, blot towards the gate. Their desperate sprint is in the vain; the pigs are already slipping past them.
One of the drivers spots her and, his face twisted with anger, charges towards Bell. Her heart pounding, Bell cries out to Sweven’s help.
BELL
(desperation) Oh! Where are you stupid soul! At least help me out!
Just as the driver's fingers brush the edge of the Bell's coat, Oz emerges beside her in a blur of ethereal light. In a fluid motion, Oz lifts Bell gracefully into the air, her feet dangling above the ground. Seizing the unexpected advantage, Bell swings her legs with all her might to deliver a swift and powerful kick to the driver's head. He crumples like a ragdoll. The second driver, his eyes bulging with disbelief, staggers backwards, his face drained of the color as terror courses through him. His trembling hand points shakily at the surreal scene before him.

Give me all your darkness, I’ll take it”. A divine voice echoed.
“is the darkness even mine to give?
But it’s me everywhere.... so, I give myself”
